WJPack Construction

A business I started at 18 years old, I've worked full time for myself in both North Carolina and Texas. Helping people turn their houses into their dream homes is something I love. I do everything from full-scale kitchen remodels to little touches like stair tiles and powder room updates to help clients love their homes. I work with a talented network of subcontractors in the Austin, TX area, and building strong relationships with everyone I work with is central to my business.

Friedman General Contracting

First moving to Austin, I worked with FGC as I ramped up my company full-time. Getting to learn the landscape of Austin while working with incredible clients, subcontractors, and the Friedman brothers themselves was a perfect introduction to Texas construction. I oversaw complex remodels and got my hands dirty framing houses and doing finish carpentry under the Texas sun.

Apple Campus

While working for a commercial construction company I spent two years working on this 2.5 million square foot facility.  I was in charge of over 900,000 square feet of office space.  Using some of the newest technology available and highly complex infrastructure along with the most beautiful and integral finishes anyone has ever seen.  I was part of a small team leading over 35 trade partners to one common goal of completion.  After 2 years working with Apple I was transferred to a data-center for Google in rural Alabama for about 5 months before hurricane Florence brought me back home.

Volunteers Lifting Construction Frame
Habitat for Humanity

This was my first position out of college. I was able to be part of an amazing non profit organization that taught to me how to work with anyone regardless of skill level and teach those individuals how to build a simple energy efficient home that a deserving family could be proud of.  Working with a deserving qualifying family is something I will never forget. The homes were simple. Habitat builds for need and not extravagance. Working with and building relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, families, habitat associates and volunteers was my main role.

Carpentry Workshop
Pitt Community College

As a graduate of this unbelievable program I was able to go back and give my knowledge and experience to a new generation of builders.  Working with administrators, faculty and staff, students and parents to ensure the best education we could provide. An education based on physical experience building a home was a unique experience for me and many years of students at Pitt Community College. I was able to bring my experience from Habitat to Pitt Community and partner with the students and provide more families with affordable, energy efficient housing.
